How to Make Iced Matcha (1 serving)
If You Have a Chasen (Matcha Whisk)
Ingredients
・1 tsp matcha powder (about 2g)
・30ml hot water (70–80°C / 158–176°F)
・Ice cubes
・About 70ml cold water (adjust to taste)
Instructions
1. Place matcha powder in a matcha bowl or small mixing bowl
2. Add 30ml hot water and whisk vigorously using a chasen until frothy and smooth
3. Add ice cubes and pour in cold water
Stir gently and enjoy!
If You Don’t Have a Chasen
(Use the same ingredients as above)
Instructions
1. Add a small amount of hot water (30ml) to the matcha powder in a cup
2. Stir well using a spoon, milk frother, or small whisk until no lumps remain
3. Pour the mixture over a glass of ice and add cold water
Stir and enjoy your refreshing iced matcha!
Optional Variations
